Schematic, proposed circuit
Here is my first draft of the circuit for the single stage coil gun. PLEASE let me know where I have erred.
I'm a technically minded guy, who didn't take an electronics course in college (nor, finished Calculus). So, I want to stand on the shoulders of giants, and steal their hard work to make a series of coil guns, for the sheer heck of it. My ultimate goal: fire a .35 caliber, 2" long steel slug t hypersonic velocity into a watermelon.
